i heart faces - Happiness

This week at i heart faces the photo challenge them is happiness.  Well in one word I can tell you what comes to mind when I think happiness.  MALIA.  My daughter.  She is the vision of happiness.  Since she was an infant she was always smiling, laughing and HAPPY.  Now she is a teenager and growing up much too fast, but her happiness still radiates from within.

A few days ago I took her and a couple of friends out for a photo session in the bluebonnets (it's a Texas thing!)  And trying to get her to be "serious" is nearly impossible.  So, I just pressed the shutter and captured that wonderful warm radiant happiness that comes from deep within her soul.

This is one of my favorites from the day.  Malia.  Always Smiling.  Always Happy.

i heart faces - Photo Challenge- Let Them Be Little

Let Them Be Little is the theme of the weekly photo challenge at i heart faces.  As soon as I read the theme I knew exactly which photo I would post.

To me this photo embodies the idea.  These four brothers have very distinct and unique personalities and it was evident to me when working with them.  You can see those personalities come to life in this shot.  Each boy is doing his own thing.  Rather than trying to pose them and get each to look at the camera, perfectly smiling at the same time, I simply... Let Them Be Little.

i heart faces - Photo Challenge- Hearts

It is time for a new weekly photo challenge over at i heart faces.  In honor Valentine's Day this weeks contest is simply "Hearts".

I had a couple of photos that I was considering for this weeks entry.  However, in honor of Valentine's Day and my most special Valentine (my daughter) I selected this photo of her.  It was snapped just yesterday while we were hanging out as a family on a beautiful Sunday afternoon.

The hearts are not the focus of the photo, but can been seen in the back ground.  The star of this photo is the sweet girl that stole my HEART 12 1/2 years ago!

Here is my entry for the week.  I had a great time working with this Mom and her son.  He was a fun little boy with a great energy and a playful personality.  As Mom leaned over to sneak a kiss I caught his expression at the perfect moment!
